    The obsessions the parenthood The pets The photography The possessions the pregnancies The relationship the talking The travelling The wedding RSS Atom Tuesday October 18 2005 By Sandy The nerd love dilemma Matt taps into something I ve been not so secretly thinking about recently a URL for the both of us Eventually we re going to want a website dedicated to the wedding which will then morph into a one we use as a married couple and then as a family This domain santheo com was something I registered long before I knew Sarah and really doesn t fit as a handle for the both of us We need something new and I m having a hard time figuring out what it should be A while ago Sarah and I got invited to a wedding and the invitation came with a wedding URL listed on it Sarah d never seen this before It was something beyond amusing to her and she swore right then that she wouldn t have anything so tacky for her own wedding We were far from talking marriage at that point so it would have been premature to say what I was thinking which was That s what you think Luddite Now I think she knows better to suggest something so silly It isn t a question of whether we ll have a wedding website but rather what it ll be called I d like to pick out a domain that can persist past the wedding and be used as a online hub for our family That makes sandyandsarah com out of the question Weisz com is taken as is weisz org although we re not sure yet what Sarah will be doing w r t the last name so it may be weird to

    emotions The engagement The entertaining The family The food The games the history The home The kids the letters The life The neighborhood The neighbors the new tricks The obsessions the parenthood The pets The photography The possessions the pregnancies The relationship the talking The travelling The wedding RSS Atom Thursday October 13 2005 By Sarah Apple Season A few weeks ago we went apple picking in Indiana with Luke This is a not quite yearly tradition By which I mean we ve done it once before two years ago Photo by Luke Seemann I must say that compared with the orchard we visited two years ago I was a little disappointed Where the first orchard was planted like a big park full of apple trees this one was in straight rows While at the first orchard we had to climb trees to find the best apples this year s had short trees with low branches drooping from their load of apples This year s orchard was also overrun with people and featured a general store full of schlock and fudge a haunted house a corn maize and who knows what else So slightly shell shocked from the Indian Summer temperatures the Indiana humidity and the bazillion screaming children we headed home with lots and lots of apples which we have turned into lots and lots of apple crisps Now I will sing the praises of the apple peeler corer slicer I got this baby from Sandy for my birthday last year one of a long list of gifts that my mother was sure was going to be an engagement ring or at least have an engagement ring hidden inside With the apple peeler corer slicer I can go from 0 to 6 apples peeled cored sliced and chopped in

    history The home The kids the letters The life The neighborhood The neighbors the new tricks The obsessions the parenthood The pets The photography The possessions the pregnancies The relationship the talking The travelling The wedding RSS Atom Tuesday October 11 2005 By Sandy Turnover In the last month two of our neighbors have moved out and two new ones have moved in Except that in each case two means two different things We re talking about two units and in both of them the two neighbors that moved in really are two people one person in the unit above us and one person in the unit next to us But the two neighbors that have moved out are actually two families one is a man and his wife and the other is the family of four that lived nextdoor Our next door neighbors were exceptionally kind to us helping us acclimate to the new surroundings when we moved in and offering to catsit for us without hesistation during the many times we ve left town in the last year But the best element they the brought to the building was their older kid a rambunctious excitable two year old girl It was a rare night this summer when we d be in the kitchen and not find her tapping on our screen door seeking out a chance to play with Lucy We really grew to enjoy having kids around and it was with sadness that we learned that the friendly two year old as well as the two other young uns on the third floor would all be moving out by the end of the fall The new two moved in a couple weeks ago One of them s a thirty something man living alone and the other a
